Lizzie Barnard

Lizzie Barnard has spent nine years working in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry having completed her Masters in Marketing and International Management from University of Reading, Henley Business School. Lizzie spent seven years as a Product Manager for Norbrook Laboratories, before joining London based specials manufacturer Bova UK in February 2019 as Marketing Manager. Lizzie enjoys the challenges of working for a specials manufacture and is learning a lot about different formulations. Prior to university, Lizzie spent five years or more riding racehorses, working for top trainers like Henrietta Knight, Jonathan Shepard (USA based trainer) and ended her racing career after three seasons as head girl for Caroline Bailey.
Before the pharmaceutical industry, Lizzie had a career in the racing industry, but her capacity for seeking out injury meant that she was not going to become the next Tony McCoy. With her most notable accident schooling a horse in America, both had differing ideas on how to get over the chase fence- Lizzie lost and got trampled resulting in nerve damage in her arm, not satisfied with that she rode two days later and broke her back as well!! For now Lizzie is happy to write about the internal and external workings of horses rather than analysing how their legs work from being dumped off one.

We would love to keep in touch with you!
