Vets with Horsepower supports Ukraine

Everyone hopes the war in Ukraine will be over by the time we mount our motorbikes for the 2026 fundraising tour. But even if all our wishes come true, the people and animals in Ukraine will need time to heal, and we want to do what we can to help.

We are intending to do this in a few different ways:

• Helping to feed the horses in Ukraine.​ As the once lush fields in the countryside are now littered with bombs and minefields, the horses cannot safely graze and the hay cannot safely be cut from these fields. It is difficult for horse owners to keep going, and we try to help by providing horse feeds where we can.
• Our webinars for 2025 and 2026 will be available free of charge for any vets or vet students originating from, or working in Ukraine.
  
• We do get asked clinical questions by Ukrainian vets via our contacts in the country, and with a wide range of specialists in various equine veterinary fields we always have someone able to help
  
• ​If other requests/needs arrive that support the vets and the horses sufering from this war, we will endeavour to help in any way we can. Please also see our notes on the fantastic 'Unbroken kids' charity.
